Yandy Diaz batting second Monday for Rays
Tampa Bay Rays infielder/designated hitter Yandy Diaz will start on first base and bat second in Monday's series opener against left-hander Tarik Skubal and the Detroit Tigers.
Diaz will move down from the leadoff spot for the first time this season. He went 0-for-5 with a pair of strikeouts on Sunday and is batting just .221 with a .560 OPS overall. Amed Rosario will move to the top of the lineup against the Tigers' lefty.
numberFire's models project Diaz for 8.4 and Rosario for 11.2 FanDuel points on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays' implied total (3.69) is fourth-worst in the majors today, while the game total (7.5) is tied for the lowest on the board.
