The Los Angeles Clippers are back again on the outside of the title hunt, never having made it out of the conference semifinals since the acquisition of Chris Paul. Los Angeles is hoping for better luck with injuries this season, as they lost Blake Griffin for most of the regular season and then exited the playoffs earlier than expected when Paul and Griffin both went down in Game 4 against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The acquisition of big men Brandon Bass and Marreese Speights through free agency add an element to the Clippers' bench that has been missing in past seasons.

The Clippers have dropped seven of their last eight in the season series with Golden State, including getting swept last season.
