2. Louisiana

Win Shares: 816.7

The state of Louisiana seemingly comes out of nowhere, but with Karl Malone at the top, what else could be expected? In 19 seasons and 1,476 games, the all-time great power forward counted up 14 seasons as an All-Star and 14 as an All-NBA performer. He didn't win a championship but was awarded two MVPs in his Hall of Fame career.

Malone is followed by two Boston greats in Bill Russell and Robert Parish. The former tallied 163.5 win shares and 21,620 rebounds in 963 career games. He won an all-time best 11 NBA titles as a 12-time All-Star and 5-time MVP in his sprint to the Hall of Fame.

As for Parish, some years later, he ended his career with 147 win shares and four NBA titles. He was a two-time All-NBA performer and nine-time All-Star. He, too, is a member of the Hall of Fame.
