JaVale McGee Will Outrank Dwight Howard

Why This Is Bold: Dwight Howard has finished in the top-100 in nine-category leagues in 10 of his 14 seasons, despite a history of back-breaking free throw percentages. JaVale McGee has not ranked within the top-250 even once over his last five campaigns.

Dwight has an ADP of 53.7, according to FantasyPros.com, while McGee's comes in all the way down at 140.3

Why This Will Happen: Howard is on his fourth team in as many years (five if you include his couple days as a Brooklyn Net before getting bought out to join the Washington Wizards) and knocking on the door of 33 years old.

He'll still probably put up decent rebounds, blocks, and field goal percentage when he can, but the Wizards could only find 23.0 minutes per game for outbound center Marcin Gortat, and Dwight eventually losing volume would mean his losing fantasy relevance.

On the other side of things, JaVale McGee is suddenly the only seasoned center on the Los Angeles Lakers, and he can produce just fine in rebounds, blocks, and field goal percentage in fairly limited minutes.

Our projections have McGee at 79th on the year and Howard at 118th. If that comes to fruition, this bold prediction won't even seem so bold in retrospect.
