Ravens' Rashod Bateman undergoing season-ending ankle surgery
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman will undergo season-ending Lisfranc surgery on his left foot.
Bateman aggravated the injury last Thursday versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 2021 first-round pick caught 15 passes on 28 targets for 285 yards and 2 touchdowns in six games this season. Devin Duvernay will take over as the Ravens' No. 1 receiver and there will be larger roles for Demarcus Robinson and James Proche. Mark Andrews (shoulder) and Isaiah Likely also stand to benefit over the rest of the season.
Bateman averaged 4.7 targets per game with a 17.2% target share and a 50.4% offensive snap rate. numberFire's models project Duvernay to lead the Ravens' receivers with 5.3 targets in Week 9. Robinson and Likely are next with a projection of 5.0 targets each. Andrews is projected to lead the team with 9.8 targets. The Saints have the No. 11 pass defense in our adjusted team metrics for the season.
