Derrick Henry heading to Ravens on 2-year contract
The Baltimore Ravens are signing running back Derrick Henry to a two-year, $16 million contract on Tuesday.
What It Means:
The deal is reportedly worth up to $20 million and includes $9 million fully guaranteed in the first year. Henry reached a career-low in yards per attempt with the Tennessee Titans last season, but he should be more efficient with Lamar Jackson at quarterback. Keaton Mitchell will likely be Henry's primary backup in Baltimore, while Tyjae Spears and Tony Pollard will split backfield work in Tennessee.
Henry averaged 13.7 FanDuel points per game last season, with 280 carries for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns, plus 28 catches (36 targets) for 214 yards. Among the 23 backs with at least 200 carries, he was No. 7 in Rushing Net Expected Points per carry.
