Derrick Henry 'will be ready to do his part' when Titans kick off 2023 season
TennesseeTitans.com reported Jim Wyatt writes that "you can be sure [Derrick Henry] will be ready to do his part when the season kicks off on September 10 in New Orleans."
Henry has been one of the most dominant backs in the league over the past several seasons and projects to carry a similar, heavy workload this year to the ones he's had in previous seasons. Though the workhorse back will be 29 this season, he's shown few signs (if any) of slowing down beyond a broken foot bone in 2021. He led the league in carries last year with 349 and had his most productive season as a pass-catcher yet.
Henry is numberFire's RB8 for the upcoming season, and only Indianapolis Colts back Jonathan Taylor is currently projected to see more carries than Henry's projected 346. His workload should remain stable this season, but the Titans' lack of other established playmakers is cause for concern with regards to how many games the franchise might win in 2023.
