Bills' Deonte Harty could take Nyheim Hines' role
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Deonte Harty could have a "potentially bigger role" after Nyheim Hines suffered a season-ending knee injury, per quarterback Josh Allen.
Allen indicated that Harty can be lined up out wide and in the backfield. The 25-year-old is already expected to replace Hines as the Bills' top return man, but Harty's versatility could also earn him more snaps on offense. The Bills signed Harty to a two-year contract worth up to $13.5 million in March. He spent the first four seasons of his career with the New Orleans Saints, but was limited to four games in 2022 by a foot injury.
numberFire's models project Harty for just 6.1 targets, 3.8 receptions, 45.6 yards, and 0.32 touchdowns this season. He has 64 catches on 92 targets for 793 yards and 4 touchdowns over 40 career games.
