Miles Sanders (groin) still sidelined at Panthers practice
Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders remains out of practice Monday due to a groin injury.
Sanders injured his groin in practice last week and will likely miss both of the Panthers' first two preseason games. He should be fine for Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons, but Sanders' continued absence could allow Chuba Hubbard to earn a larger role in the backfield. Hubbard registered four carries and six routes while playing all 11 snaps with Bryce Young in the Panthers' preseason opener.
Sanders is currently the RB18 in numberFire's preseason rankings. Our models project him for 255.0 carries, 1,181.2 rushing yards, 43.7 targets, 31.7 receptions, 195.7 receiving yards, and 9.57 touchdowns. Hubbard (RB52) is projected for 97.4 rush attempts and 13.7 targets this season.
