Chargers' Mike Williams out for season with torn ACL
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams is out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.
Williams hauled in 7 catches on 8 targets for 121 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 versus the Minnesota Vikings before suffering the injury. He's expected to be ready for the start of training camp in 2024 ahead of what will be a contract year. For this season, Joshua Palmer and rookie first-rounder Quentin Johnston will have more opportunities behind Keenan Allen moving forward. Donald Parham Jr. may also see an uptick in routes run.
Palmer drew 7 targets and ran 34 routes while Johnston drew 3 targets on 13 routes. Palmer also found the end zone and will be the preferred fantasy option in the short-term, but Johnson's role is expected to grow throughout his rookie campaign. The Chargers will face a Raiders defense in Week 4 that is ranked 21st in FanDuel points allowed per game to wide receivers.
