Justin Herbert (finger) expected to play for Chargers after bye
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (finger) suffered a fractured finger on his left, non-throwing hand in Sunday's Week 4 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Herbert is expected to be able to play in Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys after the Chargers return from their bye. He didn't miss any offensive snaps on Sunday, but Herbert still only completed 13 of 24 pass attempts for 167 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He also rushed 12 times for 27 yards and 2 scores. Easton Stick is second on the depth chart behind Herbert and he would be a ginormous downgrade for the entire offense.
Herbert finished with 24.3 FanDuel points in Week 4. He remains matchup-proof for fantasy owners, but Herbert's next opponent is a Cowboys team allowing the second-fewest FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks this season (10.0).
