Miles Sanders (shoulder) missing from Panthers practice again
Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders (shoulder) is not practicing again on Thursday for Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins.
Sanders is looking uncertain for Sunday's matchup following back-to-back missed practices. His snap rate dipped below 50 percent the past two games while Sanders dealt with a groin injury, but the Panthers may hold him out before their Week 7 bye. Chuba Hubbard will start and likely handle most of the backfield work if Sanders is inactive against the Dolphins. Hubbard out-snapped Sanders 34-33 and out-touched him last game.
The Dolphins are tied for 17th in FanDuel points allowed per game to running backs this season and their run defense ranks fifth-worst in our opponent-adjusted NEP model. Among the 50 backs with at least 25 carries this season, Hubbard is 12th in Rushing NEP per carry (0.12) and Sanders is 48th (negative-0.26).
