Chargers' Gerald Everett day-to-day with back injury heading into Week 11
The Los Angeles Chargers consider tight end Gerald Everett (back) to be day-to-day with the injury he suffered during the team's Week 10 loss to the Detroit Lions.
Everett suffered a back strain during the second quarter of Sunday's loss and while he was never officially ruled out, the veteran tight end was unable to return to the game. It sounds like he avoided a serious injury and could be back on the field for the team's Week 11 game against the Green Bay Packers.
Even with injuries to multiple Chargers pass-catchers, Everett has struggled to become a consistent producer in the team's offense so far this season. He has 21 grabs for 167 yards and 2 scores on the year.
