Chargers' Gerald Everett (chest) logs second straight DNP Thursday
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett (chest) did not participate in Thursday's practice ahead of the team's Week 11 game against the Green Bay Packers.
Everett made an early exit during the Chargers' Week 10 loss to the Detroit Lions and hasn't been able to practice yet this week. The journeyman tight end will need to log a limited practice on Friday if he wants a chance to take on the Packers in Week 11.
Everett has been given opportunities to step up in the Chargers' passing game since starting wide receiver Mike Williams' season-ending knee injury, but hasn't quite risen to the occasion while he manages injuries of his own. He's up to 167 yards and 2 touchdowns on 21 catches this year.
