David Montgomery (foot) limited Wednesday for Lions
Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (foot) was limited at practice on Wednesday for Week 13 versus the New Orleans Saints.
Montgomery is dealing with a new injury, but the limited session keeps him on track to play versus the Saints on Sunday. He has played 22-24 snaps and ran the ball 12-15 times in all three games since the Lions returned from the bye. Craig Reynolds and Jahmyr Gibbs will be more involved if Montgomery is limited or inactive in Week 13.
Montgomery is the RB20 in numberFire's Week 13 rankings and our models project him for 11.3 FanDuel points, with 14.2 carries, 60.0 rushing yards, 1.5 receptions, and 12.0 receiving yards. The Saints are allowing the 12th-fewest FanDuel points per game to running backs this season, but according to our opponent-adjusted efficiency metrics, their run defense is only 21st in the NFL.
