Chargers' Justin Herbert (finger) not expected to play Thursday
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (fractured finger) is not expected to suit up on Thursday for the team's Week 15 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Herbert fractured the index finger on his throwing hand in Sunday's Week 15 loss to the Denver Broncos, and while the tough quarterback has played through some serious injuries in the past, the quick turnaround and throwing arm injury mean he'll face a very uphill battle to play on Thursday night. With Chargers' season all but over, the it seems doubtful that Herbert will play.
If Herbert cannot play on Thursday, expect to see more of Easton Stick. Stick took over for Herbert in the second quarter of Sunday's loss, completing 13 of 24 pass attempts for 179 scoreless yards while taking a pair of sacks and dropping two fumbles. If he gets the nod Thursday, the Raiders' defense could be worth streaming in fantasy.
