Zach Wilson (concussion) out again Week 17 for Jets
New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson (concussion) will not play in Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, per head coach Robert Saleh.
Wilson will be inactive for a second straight game and Trevor Siemian will make another start. The former No. 2 overall pick will have additional days to clear protocol for Week 18 versus the New England Patriots in the Jets' final game of the season.
Wilson is averaging negative-0.16 and Siemian is averaging negative-0.38 Passing Net Expected Points per dropback this season, so this is still a downgrade for the offense in a difficult matchup. The Browns have the No. 1 overall defense and No. 1 pass defense in numberFire's opponent-adjusted efficiency metrics for the season.
