Rapoport: Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers agree to 3-year deal
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and quarterback Baker Mayfield have agreed to a deal, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Mayfield enjoyed a careeer resurgence in Tampa Bay this past season, taking the team to the postseason and even winning a playoff game. Now, he has agreed to a deal to stay in Tampa before the new league year kicks in. Mayfield is back on a 3-year deal worth $100 million (including $50 million in guarantees), and he'll have his usual compliment of weapons, as Mike Evans signed an extension earlier in the week.
In 17 games this season, Mayfield has completed 364-of-566 passes for 4,044 yards with 28 touchdowns to just 10 interceptions. He also had 62 carries for 163 yards and another score.
