If he hasn’t already, Mike Napoli may be entering must-roster status against left-handers. For the year, he’s sporting a .407 wOBA versus southpaws with a remarkable 52.1% hard-hit rate and 45.2% fly-ball rate.

He is set to take on Chicago White Sox lefty Carlos Rodon. The Sox’ southpaw isn’t having a poor season by any means, posting a career-best 4.10 SIERA with a 22.4% strikeout rate, but he’s not very good against right-handed hitters. Righties have punked him to the tune of a .365 wOBA with a 39.4% fly-ball rate.

Those numbers play right into Napoli’s hands, and the Indians' implied total of 4.82 is the highest of the night.
