Yordano Ventura will be on the mound for the Kansas City Royals tonight, and while there are some weather concerns in Chicago and you should be checking on those closer to lineup lock, that makes this a good spot for Melky Cabrera.

Ventura has a 4.22 ERA and 4.76 SIERA on the year. He has a 4.94 xFIP against left-handed hitters, while also allowing them a .324 wOBA with a 33.9% hard-hit rate and only a 12.5% soft-hit rate.

A switch-hitter, Cabrera has done his best work against right-handed pitching over his career, slashing .289/.340/.419. He's having a fairly strong season, with a .339 wOBA and .148 ISO that are both better than his career averages, and with the Chicago White Sox boasting a decent 4.29 implied total, he should thrive tonight.
