During Pedro Martinez's big 2000 campaign in the AL, Johnson was in the NL doing his own thing. He won 19 games in 35 starts and fanned 12.56 batters per nine innings for a WAR of 9.6.

He pitched his way to the NL Cy Young and yet another All-Star appearance.
