I recommended fading Adam Jones yesterday, and all he did was hit a bomb on his way to 34.9 fantasy points, his second straight day over 30 points. Well, then.

Maybe the third time's the charm? Recent performances aside, the truth remains that Jones has an underwhelming 29.4% hard-hit rate and .312 xwOBA against righties this season, and his price has only risen over the past couple days.

The Baltimore Orioles may have a 5.08 implied team total, but it's not like Mike Fiers has been a total slouch this season. In fact, over his last five starts he has a 31.0% strikeout rate and 3.64 SIERA, along with a career 23.2% strikeout rate against righties. Not exactly gas can material.

Don't chase the points, and avoid Jones tonight. Trust me!
