The price for Elvis Andrus has dropped below $3,000, but don't look at it as a good time to buy low.

Despite a career-high 11 home runs, Andrus has just a 28.6% hard-hit rate, and nothing in his batted-ball profile suggests any newfound power stroke. He has just a .293 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA), and has struggled in the month of July with a poor 20.9% hard-hit rate.

Andrus adds some value with his legs (20 stolen bases), but overall he doesn't make for an exciting play in a game where the Texas Rangers have a middle of the road 4.45 implied team total against Alex Cobb.
