The Texas Rangers are showing a robust 5.04 implied total tonight, but their matchup against Collin McHugh might be more difficult than that number would indicate.

McHugh isn't some superstar, but he's produced around league average this season, with a reasonable 4.42 SIERA, 21.7% strikeout rate, and 7.2% walk rate. In fact, he has solid marks against right-handed bats, posting a 25.0% strikeout rate, while allowing just a .304 wOBA. Over 10 starts, he's allowed two or fewer earned runs seven times.

In all, McHugh isn't the best candidate to expect a true stinker performance out of, and he could prove troublesome to righties. Downgrade all right-handed bats on the Rangers, particularly Carlos Gomez, who struggles with strikeouts (29.3% strikeout rate) and doesn't give you any salary relief.
