Salvador Perez, C, Kansas City Royals

FanDuel Price: $3,400

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

It's crazy how much the complexion of a slate changes things. Yesterday, Salvador Perez would have been the chalk at catcher, but due to the rainout, Perez will now compete with Buster Posey at Coors Field. Posey is likely to be the first option for daily fantasy players while constructing lineups, and with the Royals now only possessing the 10th-highest implied team total, Perez may indeed end up underowned.

Why You Should Use Him:

Perez has been red-hot at the plate recently, hitting safely in 11 straight. He's been especially locked in over his last three games, going a combined 9-12 at the plate with four extra base hits and 81 combined FanDuel points.

If you can get any hitter that hot at $3,400 and possible low ownership, you have to consider him. If you can get a catcher-eligible player that hot, you play him unless he is facing an elite pitcher. If you get a catcher that hot that is batting against Miguel Gonzalez and his career 4.42 SIERA, you lock him in and don't think twice about it.

Keep an eye on the weather -- another rainout might be the only thing that can slow down Perez.
