Rick Porcello, SP, Boston Red Sox

FanDuel Price: $8,400

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Rick Porcello hasn't necessarily pitched poorly recently, but his strikeout numbers have been way down from the impressive totals he posted early in the season. His perceived lack of strikeout upside should be enough to keep him underowned among tonight's deep pitching pool.

Why You Should Use Him:

Porcello's strikeout numbers have really dropped recently, but that can partially be chalked up to facing some of the least strikeout prone teams in the league recently. Against teams in the top-12 in strikeout rate against righties, Porcello has 37 strikeouts in 39 innings.

His season-high came when he punched out nine batters against the Rays, who just happen to be his opponent tonight. On the year, Tampa Bay ranks 24th in wOBA against righties and has the second-highest strikeout rate in the league (24.8 percent) against them.

Porcello's velocity was up in his most recent start, too, with his average fastball sitting at 91 miles per hour -- the highest it's been in any start this season. If he is bringing it that hard again tonight, he has a chance to pile up the strikeouts against the banged-up Rays. Tampa Bay has struggled against righties all year, but with Corey Dickerson, Steve Pearce, Steven Souza, Brandon Guyer, and Kevin Kiermaier all currently dealing with injuries, they are running out of capable Major League hitters.

The price and matchup are both great, and the ownership is sure to be low. The only thing in question is Porcello's ability after his recent inability to miss bats. He's not cash game worthy, but he is definitely an interesting tournament play.
