Buster Posey, C, San Francisco Giants

Buster Posey is always worth a look against a left-hander, which is the case tonight as the Giants face off with Colorado Rockies’ southpaw Jorge De La Rosa at San Francisco’s AT&T Park.

Posey is putting up a huge .402 wOBA this season against lefties, and he’s been hot of late. After having his best month of the year (.360 wOBA) in June, Posey is sporting a .506 wOBA and 50% hard-hit rate through -- small sample-size alert -- 16 July plate appearances.

De La Rosa’s 4.48 SIERA is his worst mark since 2012, and his 11.1% walk rate is a career-worst clip. Amazingly, he’s been worse away from Coors Field, surrendering a .329 wOBA at home, compared to an ugly .434 wOBA on the road.
