Cash: Tampa Bay's Shane McClanahan (forearm) 'highly unlikely' to pitch again this season
According to manager Kevin Cash, Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Shane McClanahan (forearm) is not expected to pitch again this season.
It appears McClanahan's season is over after he was placed on the injured list with recent forearm tightness. Expect Taj Bradley and Zack Littell to take over the back end of Tampa Bay's rotation.
In 74.2 innings this season, Bradley has recorded a 3.48 expected Fielding Independent Pitching rating and a 30.0% K-rate while Littell has accounted for a 3.55 expected Fielding Independent Pitching rating and a 20.3% K-rate in 35.2 innings.
