Fantasy Football: 5 Quarterbacks With Major Touchdown Upside
Blake Bortles, Jacksonville Jaguars
Blake Bortles is in a bit of a funny situation this year. As JJ Zachariason looked at earlier in the offseason, there's a good chance Bortles' touchdown numbers fall this year. But having finished second in the league with 35 passing touchdowns, Bortles can regress and still have the potential to post a big touchdown number.
While Bortles may have had good fortune bolster his touchdown total, a number of variables that worked in his favor will hold true this year.
His passing volume in scoring range is likely to remain among the highest in the league, as Gus Bradley's Jacksonville Jaguars have been among the most pass-heavy teams in both the red zone and on the goal line over the past three seasons:

Offensive coordinator Greg Olson is also no stranger to passing in the red zone, and in his final season in Oakland in 2014, the Oakland Raiders were the fifth-most pass-heavy red zone team.
Bortles also has some excellent red zone weapons at his disposal, and among the 111 players to see at least 20 red zone targets over the last three seasons Julius Thomas' 46.5% touchdown rate ranks second, and Allen Robinson's 44.4% touchdown rate ranks third. Allen Hurns (34.8%) also ranks 21st in that group.
Whatever you think of Bortles' skill at quarterback, he is on a team that is going to throw the ball a lot when they're in scoring range, he has some dangerous weapons to help him with efficiency, and he could find himself near the top of the league in touchdowns again this year.
