Jesse James, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers

For years, Heath Miller offered some safety at the tight end position for fantasy owners, but he chose to retire this offseason. The subsequent addition of Ladarius Green by the Pittsburgh Steelers generated plenty of excitement, but things have gone awry over the past few weeks.

Pittsburgh placed Green on the PUP list, meaning he'll miss the first six weeks of the season. The next man up is the 6'7", 261-pound Jesse James.

Even with injuries to Ben Roethlisberger last season, Pittsburgh ranked seventh in passing efficiency, according to our Adjusted Passing NEP per play metric, and James could be the red zone threat that the team lost with the suspension to Martavis Bryant.

James is rostered in just 4.6% of ESPN leagues and hasn't appeared on the ADP list just yet in 12-team PPR leagues. That doesn't mean you shouldn't keep an eye on him.
