4 Fantasy Football Tight End Streaming Options For Week 1

Vance McDonald doesn't have the high implied team total of the other tight ends, but he has the potential for the largest market share of any of the aforementioned players. After all, someone has to catch passes in Chip Kelly's high-paced offense. Outside of McDonald, the San Francisco 49ers' current receivers and tight ends combined to average 260 receiving yards in 2015, and only one of them topped 400 yards.

McDonald may be in line for a huge market share, and he could be heavily involved in the red zone. While the 49ers probably won't be lighting up the scoreboard with much frequency, their implied total of 21 points in Week 1 is at least outside of the bottom 10. Their opponent, the Los Angeles Rams, were mediocre against tight ends last season, ranking 11th in fantasy points allowed to the position.

McDonald certainly has the least upside of this group in Week 1 and is probably not worth targeting in 12-team leagues. However, in larger leagues, particularly points-per-reception leagues, McDonald is an intriguing under-the-radar pick at tight end this week.
