In the first week following Jonathan Stewart's hamstring injury, Cameron Artis-Payne led the Carolina Panthers' backfield in carries, spearheading a committee with Fozzy Whittaker and Mike Tolbert.

Artis-Payne had 12 carries for 47 yards, outperforming Whitaker, who carried the ball 5 times for 22 yards.

It was tough sledding for Panthers' backs on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings' top-ranked run defense, per our metrics entering the week, but it's clear that Artis-Payne is the back you want to own in Carolina with Stewart out.

Stewart is expected to miss Week 4 as well, and that's good news for Artis-Payne as the Panthers travel to face the Atlanta Falcons' below-average run defense.
