DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Helper for Week 4
Quarterbacks
High-Cost Option: Cam Newton ($7,800)
If looking at this week's high-cost options, Cam Newton is an excellent quarterback choice in what could be a potential shootout with the Atlanta Falcons. Atlanta is allowing the most passing touchdowns and fifth-most passing yards and ranks dead last according to our metrics against opposing quarterbacks. Newton's struggles from last week may allow you to get him at lower ownership this week, but he still is an elite option who is averaging 24.4 points per game.
Mid-Cost Option: Kirk Cousins ($6,500)
I was never a bully growing up in grade school, but I'll be picking on the Cleveland Browns mercilessly until they find a way to slow opposing offenses. The Browns have given up 25 points on DraftKings to Ryan Tannehill, 21.18 points to Joe Flacco, and 19.2 points to Carson Wentz. None of those teams are throwing it nearly as much as Washington, who is second in passing yards and fourth in pass play percentage. Cousins has been off to a rocky start so far in 2016, but a soft matchup against Cleveland could be just what he needs to bounce back.
Low-Cost Option: Joe Flacco ($5,900)
I'll be chasing the monster outings that Drew Brees (35.4 points) and Matt Ryan (31.8 points) have put up against this Oakland Raiders secondary and hope that Marcus Mariota (7.8 points) was just an outlier. The Raiders have been torched so far this year, giving up the most passing yards per game (344) and third-most fantasy points per game (25). Flacco excelled in his matchup against the Raiders last season, throwing for 384 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Flacco has historically played better at home and should continue that trend with the Baltimore Ravens as 3.5-point favorites this week.
Other Options: Ben Roethlisberger ($7,100), Carson Palmer ($7,200), Brian Hoyer ($5,000)
