5. Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons

While consistency has been the trademark of our top four players, it is highly likely that Julio Jones has both won you a game single handily while also contributing to your demise in two others. It's been an up-and-down season so far for the Falcons' star receiver, but the highs have been unreal and at least one of the lows was forgivable (the Broncos defense is a terrible matchup).

Still, few players in fantasy football have the explosive ability and weekly ceiling of Jones, and his 300-yard Week 4 performance demonstrated that. Yet, despite that unreal game, Jones ranks just third in the NFL in receiving yards (517), and his one-catch game against the hapless Saints is hard to forget.

Regardless, Jones is tops among receivers with over 35 targets in Reception NEP per target (1.11), Target NEP (34.99) and second behind only Mike Evans in Receiving NEP (45.52). And he's done all of this despite being just 16th in the NFL in targets at 41, which is fewer than Jeremy Kerley and Tavon Austin.

Perhaps the biggest surprise in Atlanta, however, has been the resurgence of Matt Ryan, who leads all quarterbacks in Passing NEP (79.77) by over 20 points. The Falcons currently boast the top passing offense in Adjusted NEP per play by a wide margin, and Jones is the most talented player in that offense. He is clearly worth a top-five selection, even if minor injuries and inconsistency raise an eyebrow here and there.
