DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Helper for Week 6
Defense/Special Teams
High-Cost Option: Buffalo Bills ($3,700)
Taking on the Colin Kaepernick-led 49ers this week, this Buffalo Bills' defense is ranked as the highest-priced option for a reason. Kaepernick is heavily turnover- and sack-prone, and the Bills could quite easily lead the position in fantasy points this week. The Bills currently rank fourth in sacks (17), second in fumble recoveries (5), and fifth in interceptions (6). Vegas currently has Buffalo as a nine-point home favorite when they host the 49ers, who are traveling east for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff. They're a safe play at home this week and worth paying up for.
Mid-Cost Option: Houston Texans ($2,900)
The Indianapolis Colts have given up the most sacks on the year and present a great option to target for DFS purposes. Andrew Luck's 8.9 percent sack rate is by far the worst of his career so far. He also isn't afraid to turn the ball over with three picks and three fumbles to date. The Houston Texans are down their top pass rusher, but in their past two games without J.J. Watt, they've picked up three sacks, a pick, and a punt return touchdown. It's not a pretty week for defense/special teams units, but Houston does have some upside playing at home as three-point favorites.
Low-Cost Option: Chicago Bears ($2,300)
If you're really into dumpster diving for options this week, the Chicago Bears are in a great situation playing at home as 2.5-point favorites against the turnover-happy Blake Bortles. Bortles is averaging 1.5 interceptions and 3 sacks per game, and Chicago is coming off a 5-sack performance last week against Luck. The Bears' defense ranks 17th according to numberFire's schedule-adjusted metrics, and considering they're just barely above the minimum price tag, they make for a pretty sound play as home favorites.
Other Options: Pittsburgh Steelers ($3,400), Philadelphia Eagles ($3,200)
