DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Helper for Week 6
Running Backs
High-Cost Option: Le'Veon Bell ($7,900)
Through his first two games, Le'Veon Bell has accrued 26 touches per game. That's the kind of volume we're targeting for DFS purposes, and this week, it coincides with a great matchup against the Miami Dolphins. He's a near must-play in cash games this week considering the Dolphins are giving up the most rushing yards and that the Pittsburgh Steelers are a whopping 7.5-point road favorite. With the pricing of some of the top receivers this week, Bell makes for a cheaper play who is both safer and able to put up points at the same level as the elite receivers.
Mid-Cost Option: Jamaal Charles ($5,100)
Even if the Chiefs put him on limited touches, Jamaal Charles has shown over the course of his career that he's capable of making a big play at a moment's notice. Charles' 5.5 yards per carry over the course of his career is historically good. He should have little trouble putting up big numbers against a Raiders defense that gave up 29.5 points to DeMarco Murray and 20.3 points to Terrance West recently. Those outings have contributed to Oakland giving up the fourth-most rushing yards and ninth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Charles has some risk associated with rostering him, but his upside is undeniable if given the green light.
Low-Cost Option: Ryan Mathews ($4,900)
In a week where it makes sense to pay up for running backs, Ryan Mathews may go a bit under-owned due simply to roster construction. At $4,900 Mathews makes for a solid low-cost option against a Washington Redskins front seven that's giving up the third-most rushing yards, second-most rushing touchdowns, and third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Washington has given up some big games, most notably to DeAngelo Williams (38.1 points) and to Isaiah Crowell (26.2 points). The line has moved from Washington being favored at home to the Philadelphia Eagles now being 2.5-point road favorites. If paying up at other positions, Mathews presents a favorable situation in matchup and projected volume to give you salary relief.
Other Options: DeMarco Murray ($7,700), LeSean McCoy ($6,900), Christine Michael ($6,800), Jordan Howard ($6,200), Giovani Bernard ($4,600)
