Jay Ajayi’s 0.21 Rushing NEP Per Carry Leads All Running Backs

Among all running backs with 25 or more carries this season, Jay Ajayi has added the most points per carry above expectation. It’s a vast improvement over his -0.01 Rushing NEP per carry on 49 carries last season.

No running back with 100 or more carries has finished with 0.21 Rushing NEP per carry or better since Ronnie Brown in 2007.

Ajayi also ranks 1st this season in both Rushing Success Rate (53.57%) and fantasy points per carry (1.0).

After totaling just 18 carries through the first three games of the season, Ajayi has had double-digit carries in each of his past two games. In Week 6, he turned his 25 carries into 204 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead all players with 32.70 fantasy points.

Ajayi will have a tough test in Week 7 against the Buffalo Bills, who rank third in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP.
