FanDuel Salary Changes: Week 7
Antonio Brown, WR, and Le'Veon Bell, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
FanDuel Prices: $9,000 & $8,600
Salary Change: Down $700 & $600
FanDuel salaries were released this week before the news of the required knee surgery for Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell each saw huge salary decreases for Week 7. At their depressed salaries, they would have been a must-play with Roethlisberger under center. But, now, their outlooks are completely different.
Take a look at how Le’Veon Bell performed last season in the four games Roethlisberger missed:
Week | Att | Rush Yds | Rec | Rec Yds | Total TDs |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
4 | 22 | 129 | 7 | 21 | 1 |
5 | 21 | 111 | 4 | 16 | 1 |
6 | 24 | 88 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
7 | 17 | 121 | 4 | 16 | 0 |
And here’s what Antonio Brown did in those games:
Week | Rec | Rec Yds | TDs |
---|---|---|---|
4 | 5 | 42 | 0 |
5 | 3 | 45 | 0 |
6 | 3 | 23 | 0 |
7 | 6 | 124 | 0 |
You’ll notice that they scored just two combined touchdown during that span. With Landry Jones at the helm, the offense won’t be able to move the ball, and Vegas agrees -- Pittsburgh’s implied team total is just 19 points this week.
You can’t roster Antonio Brown in any format this week. His floor will be too low and he hasn’t shown the upside in games without Big Ben. Le’Veon Bell won’t have the touchdown upside to win you a GPP this weekend, but he is still viable in cash games due to his guaranteed workload and usage in the passing game. It’s best to limit your exposure to the Steelers’ studs on Sunday.
