Tight End

Chalk:

Tight end is a little ugly this week. Greg Olsen and Delanie Walker figure to see a fair bit of ownership at the top end, while some will be tempted by Kyle Rudolph as a value play against the Lions.

Pivots:

Eric Ebron, $5,400 (at Minnesota Vikings): Eric Ebron's first game back from a three-game absence went about as well as anyone could have hoped for against a tough Houston Texans pass defense. He built on his encouraging start to the season, catching 7 of 10 targets for 79 yards. He has dominated Detroit's tight end playing time when healthy, playing 87% of the offensive snaps in the five games he's played this season. In those games, he has averaged 5 catches on 7 targets for 58 yards.

Ebron's matchup against the Minnesota Vikings this week isn't one to get excited about, but he showed us last week that he can remain productive in difficult matchups. Similar to last week, a pair of tough corners might funnel targets towards Ebron. Marvin Jones and Golden Tate will have their hands full against Xavier Rhodes and Captain Munnerlyn, which should result in Matthew Stafford looking to Ebron often.

Rudolph is certain to be the more popular option in this game, but Ebron could very well outscore the touchdown-dependent tight end. If he does, the difference in ownership could really swing tournaments in your favor.
