Byron Jones, Cornerback/Safety

There are sometimes some surprising players who hit the waiver wire, and it’s one of our many jobs to remain vigilant and snap them up before anyone else realizes. That’s the situation this week with Dallas Cowboys hybrid defensive back Byron Jones, who has averaged a solid 5.2 fantasy points per week and has surpassed our streamable threshold in six of nine games this season.

He should thrive in Week 11, too, as he and the Cowboys get to take on the Baltimore Ravens, who throw the sixth-most in the league in terms of pass-to-run play call ratio. Quarterback Joe Flacco also has a 2.40 percent interception rate, 10th-highest among Week 11 starting quarterbacks. Jones should have good tackle volume from the former and big-play upside from the latter. He’s a budding NFL star somehow available in leagues; go get him.

Jones is available in 97.1% of ESPN IDP leagues, and we project him for 5.37 tackles, 0.30 interceptions, 0.38 passes defended, and a total score of 7.95 fantasy points in Week 11.
