Wide Receiver: Emmanuel Sanders

Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Denver Broncos
7 Receptions, 162 Yards, 10 Targets, 1 Touchdown
Performance: 98, NEP: +13.87

Emmanuel Sanders led all wide receivers in our performance rating (98), finishing with a +13.87 Total NEP. He dominated the left side of the field against Phillip Gaines, catching 7 of 10 targets for 162 yards and a touchdown.

After an ugly first half filled with punts, a safety, and few points scored, the Denver Broncos matchup with Kansas City Chiefs turned it up in the second half. Sanders' number was called often, but his biggest play of the game came on 2nd-and-22 in the fourth quarter. Sanders was able to slip past Gaines in coverage and come down with a 35-yard touchdown reception, adding +4.86 to his NEP. Sanders also hauled in a monster 64-yard gain and now ranks eighth among all wide receivers in Reception NEP.

There were some heavy touchdown totals from wideouts this week, yet Sanders was able to finish as the overall WR4 in PPR scoring. Next week, he gets a tough matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have allowed just two 100-yard receivers and rank in the top 12 in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing NEP.
