Avoid the Steelers Defense as a Road Favorite

The Pittsburgh D/ST has been a great option in fantasy football over the past three games. They terrorized offenses led by the likes of Scott Tolzien and Cody Kessler, scoring 22, 11, and 9 points on FanDuel during this time.

Now, the Pittsburgh Steelers are favored to win on the road against the Buffalo Bills, but based on Mike Tomlin's career, this doesn't bode well for them.

Since Tomlin made his head coaching debut in 2007, the Steelers are 20-27-1 against the spread as road favorites. This ranks 24th in the NFL among all teams.

Another unfavorable trend for the Steelers is that games involving the Bills have gone over the total in nine out of 12 times, including all five home games. The total in Sunday's matchup is 47 points, fourth-highest in Week 14.

The Steelers are affordable at $4,500 on FanDuel, ranking 15th among all defenses. They may seem like a value, but the odds continuing their recent success are slim.
