Edwin Jackson, Inside Linebacker

The Indianapolis Colts are not renowned for their defensive unit, but one prospect in particular catches the eye for current season value as well as long-term dynasty outlook: inside linebacker Edwin Jackson. The 24-year old rookie out of Georgia Southern has taken over the starting inside linebacker job next to D'Qwell Jackson for Indy and soaked up a ton of production.

Football’s E-Jax has a whopping 17 percent tackle rate on his 218 snaps this year, the sixth-highest rate among 169 linebackers with at least 15 snaps per game, as well as one stuff and two sacks over that time.

In Week 14, he and the Colts play the Houston Texans, who -- while they have the sixth-lowest stuff rate allowed -- have established the eighth-most run-heavy offense in the league by pass-to-run play call ratio. This should allow plenty of opportunities for Jackson to wrap up the ball carrier and add to his stellar tackle count.

Jackson is available in 100.0% of ESPN IDP leagues, and we project him for 5.19 tackles, 0.02 sacks, 0.24 passes defended, and a total score of 5.65 fantasy points in Week 14.
