The Baltimore Ravens Lead the NFL With -0.14 Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP Per Carry

The Baltimore Ravens are no strangers to a stout run defense, as they actually hold the top two spots in terms of Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per carry in a season since 2000. This year, they are holding opposing teams to -0.14 points per carry, which is 0.05 points per carry better than any other team.

Baltimore is holding opposing teams to an NFL-low 3.7 yards per carry and have only given up 8 rushing touchdowns all season. They have faltered recently -- giving up 100-plus rushing yards in each of their past two games -- but during the first 13 weeks, opposing running backs reached 75 rushing yards just 3 times.

In Week 17, they will take on the Cincinnati Bengals, who currently rank 15th with 0.02 Adjusted Rushing NEP per carry.

If the Ravens get back on track and maintain this pace, they will rank 14th among all teams since 2000. It will also make them the fourth Ravens squad among the top-15 in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per carry.
