4. 2015 Arizona Cardinals

nERD: 13.11

The most recent team to excel in the regular season and fail to get it done in the postseason is the '15 Cardinals. They might also be one of the more well-balanced squads, seeing as how they ranked second in offensive output and seventh in defensive output per game.

Carson Palmer passed the ball at a high level, with 4,671 yards and 35 touchdowns on the year. In the run game, the three-headed monster of Chris Johnson, David Johnson and Andre Ellington contributed 1,684 yards and 14 touchdowns. Defensively, Tyrann Mathieu led the charge with 80 tackles, 17 pass defenses and 5 interceptions.

The Cardinals eventually wound up in the NFC Championship game, where they were bested by Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. Palmer threw four picks and the defense couldn't stop the Carolina offense on little rest.
