1. Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons

Total NEP: 223.51

If you paid close attention, you know that Matt Ryan's 223.51 Total NEP ranks somewhere among the eight best seasons since 2000. It's not much higher, but it is seventh-highest overall, knocking Rodgers' 2014 season down the list.

Ryan paced the league in Passing NEP per drop back (0.37) this year over 571 drop backs. Since 2000, just two passers have had higher per-drop back marks on at least 550 drop backs: Tom Brady (0.43) in 2007 and Peyton Manning (0.41) in 2013.

Ryan's Success Rate of 54.64% also led the NFL this season and is ninth-best among 176 quarterback seasons since 2000 with at least 550 drop backs.

Overall, the Atlanta Falcons offense was first in Adjusted NEP per play and in Adjusted Passing NEP per play while ranking third in Adjusted Rushing NEP per play.

In fact, they had the third-most efficient passing offense by our metrics since 2000 and the absolute best per-play offense in the NFL since the turn of the century.
