5. Marshall Faulk, St. Louis Rams (2001)

In 2001, the 14-2 Rams and the "greatest show on turf" came up short in Super Bowl XXXVI. But, there wasn't anything short about Marshall Faulk's outstanding campaign.

Faulk accounted for 2,147 scrimmage yards, 5.32 yards per rush attempt and an AV of 22. He tallied 9 touchdowns through the air and 21 overall, winning NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
