8. Edgerrin James, Indianapolis Colts (2004)

For the third time, James cracks the list of those with an AV of 21. This time, he helped the Colts to a 12-4 record and the second round of the playoffs.

On the season, James contributed 1,548 rushing yards on a career-high 4.63 yards a carry. He had just 9 rushing touchdowns, but the then 6-year veteran made up for it with 51 catches and 483 yards in the passing game.
