Marshall Faulk, St. Louis Rams (1999)

The quarterbacks get all the glory, but this time around the running backs come out on top. Faulk, someone already previously mentioned multiple times here, had the greatest of his own seasons before the turn of the century.

As an integral part of the "greatest show on turf", Faulk rattled off 2,429 yards from scrimmage and 12 total touchdowns. He ran for 1,381 yards and caught 87 balls for 1,048 more.

Not only did Faulk do it with volume, but he also did it with efficiency. He averaged 5.5 yards per carry and hauled in 84.5% of passes thrown his way. This deadly dual-threat would end his season with an AV of 25 as the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year.
