Robert Davis, Georgia State

Few people were talking about Robert Davis heading into the combine, and if they were talking about him, it was probably because Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis is his cousin.

But, my goodness, Robert Davis destroyed the combine.

At 6'3'' and 219 pounds, Davis ended up running a a 4.44 40, good for a Height-Adjusted Speed Score of 115.8. That's a top-40 number among wide receivers at the combine since 1999. One of his top measurable comparables, per MockDraftable.com, is this guy named Andre Johnson. Remember him?

The problem is, there's a reason few pundits were talking about him before the combine. His production at Georgia State was lacking, as he saw a sub-30% rate in target market share, reception market share, and touchdown market share in 2016. And while his overall numbers at Georgia State look better year over year, albeit barely, his best season from a market share perspective actually came as a Freshman in 2013. The lack of true improvement is concerning.

Nevertheless, the combine might have catapulted him into a late-round draft selection. He'll be a project for some team.
